About Us

The Greenville Free Medical Clinic received operational funding from Piedmont Health Foundation in 2011.

The Piedmont Health Foundation is a private philanthropic foundation located in Greenville, South Carolina. The foundation was established in 1985 through the sale of the first HMO in Greenville County.  Since 1986, the Piedmont Health Foundation has given grants totaling more than $3.4 million to 60 organizations. The foundation is governed by a Board of Directors from the Greenville community.

Piedmont Health Foundation works to improve health in Greenville County by:

For the community:  Our community will have the knowledge, capacity and resources needed to develop effective strategies to improve the health of Greenville County residents.
